BIOGRAPHY
Martin started out DJing back in the 90s learning his craft in a DJ hire room upstairs in record shop Rhythm Nation, Doncaster before a near-death experience (and the insurance payout from it) enabled him to switch his Soundlab belt drives for his own set of 1210s.
After moving to Leeds, armed with a dream and a mix-tape he landed his first residency at Club NATO playing to hundreds of clubbers every weekend alongside Andi Durrant, Sonique, Seb Fontaine and many more. Frequenting Club Uropa every weekend at the same time he met the love of his life Victoria and they soon got married and started a family and so the DJing/Music went on hold to focus on being a Dad and snowboarding.
Fast forward to 2015 and three kids, two huskies and a handful of guinea pigs later and Martin was ready to re-ignite his passion and continue to follow his dream so after some motivational words from Tidy’s Amadeus Mozart (Ideal Academy Launch Night) he set out to work with some of his biggest inspirations, absolute legends and now good friends Rob Tissera, Paul King, BK and many more and within a short space of time he had launched his own label Jump Trax, a new night Jump! (With a lot of help from his friends) and by all accounts smashed it in the Ideal Room at the Tidy Christmas Party.
Over the course of this year everything has accelerated incredibly with international bookings in Ireland (Asylum), Corfu (Unity in the Sun) & Ibiza (his music being used as the promotional track for Hard House Ibiza!), the honour of mixing In an Ideal World 7 with the Queen Amber D, his remix of K8-e’s My Kind of Company receiving a glowing review from Andy Whitby in MixMag and being invited to perform a showcase for We Love Hard House things are shaping up really well for a very successful 2020 where he works to live up to his name having booked onto the Accelerated Freefall Course at local Skydiving Centre, BKPC.
His music/DJ style can be described as uplifting banging vocal hard house where he likes to add his own signature edits and acapellas to make his sets unique.
