Mike Taylor

Mike discovered his passion for harder music in the early noughties when club nights such as Goodgreef, Toast, Pure Filth and North Gathering were solid fixtures in Manchester’s clubbing calendar. It was always the harder-edged hard house and NRG that stood out for him, whilst listening to DJs including Paul Glazby, Justin Bourne and the distinct sounds of Karim. A pair of Technics 1210’s and a box of vinyl later – it was time to make a move to the other side of the DJ booth, and there was no looking back.

Now an established Manchester DJ / Producer, Mike’s record box covers the whole spectrum of hard house. From house that’s hard, right through to fast-paced, energetic stompers, for which he’s known best.

Mike has played for events such as Sundissential, Vicious Circle, Xstatic Summer Festival, Hi Oktane, Xstatic Ibiza, Euphonic Fuzion and North Reunion to name but a few.

Mike has launched his own digital label ‘Rattlesnake Records’ to the masses, which has gone on to have various number 1’s on download sites, and saw his own track “Haymaker” feature on Vicious Circle’s Rougher & Tougher CD compilation.

The love for Mike’s music continues to grow too, with labels such as Frantic, Twist Trax, Vicious Circle, Fireball, Slingshot and Supercharged all snapping up his work.

Mike is a busy bee in the studio and has so far nailed collaborations with Adam M, Wayne Smart and Hilly, amongst others. This has seen his releases included on the CD albums Tidy – Insomnia 5, Adam M – The Mighty M, Tidy Weekender Live, and most recently, The Tidy Boys annual and Vicious Circle’s VC20 album.
